Summary: Mint is busy working on the walls of her shop today. Specifically, she's currently inside the wall, squirming around and making an attempt to fill in gaps. It's cramped and she's not exactly a professional carpenter, but she knows enough to figure it out and is making progress.

Aaand then she hears Ojisan calling her name outside. Dangit.

She finds an opening to poke her out so she can sheepishly greet the old man, then squirms her way back out of the wall with some difficulty (and hits her head and gets a nice little cut for her efforts) so she can let him inside and get him a drink.

He asks her, a bit dubiously, about her progress on the shop and she gets very flustered. It's true, the new walls are a mess...! She collected all the wood for them from various places - abandoned houses, bits and pieces that she's found here and there - and now it's all a hodgepodge of former doors and window frames and mismatched boards...but it's not done yet! So don't judge her, okay!!

He promises he's not judging and says he'll keep an eye out for any lumber she can use. Thanks Ojisan.

As she goes behind the counter to get him a refill, he suddenly points out that while the walls are a mess, the floor is nicely done. Mint swells with a tiny bubble of pride that he noticed, since she wanted at least that to be finished properly. It's a nice little moment amidst the general stress and effort of the construction, and when he encourages her after that to take her time, it all feels worth it.

Reaction(s):
-Names are still blurred out
-This is just a nice trivial little moment really
-But now she can't figure out if she's building the shop or repairing it or what? The language they use is confusing.
