Memory: Story 25: Far-off Summer Holidays

Summary: Mint and the purple-haired girl from her other memory borrow a truck from an old man to go on a day trip to a nearby beach! The man sees them off and they drive for a while, chatting about this and that. When they arrive, the other girl seems very excited to see the beach, exclaiming her surprise that there's actually one left.
They take off their shirts to reveal the new swimsuits that the purple-haired girl had bought for them. Mint has never owned a swimsuit before, and she finds it a bit embarrassing, especially since hers has a ribbon on the back for some inexplicable reason? A tail??? Purple-haired friend has interesting taste.
Then they go swimming! Mint dives right in while her friend is a bit more hesitant, having never swam in the ocean before. They swim out to where it drops off and dive under together, though Mint is much faster and can hold her breath longer, so she playfully swims circles around the other girl.
After a while they get out and watch the tide come in as they dry off. The other girl looks lost in thought for a while before quietly commenting that it seems lonely...but Mint thinks it's just a different kind of exciting now.
Then they splash around in the water for a while longer. Adorable.

-When they're underwater, they can see that there is a road and the remains of a few buildings down there that have been completely covered by the sea.
